Auto-reset for task counter on unlimited plan — manual reset causing automation downtime

Status: Closed · Asked by Kesaria Textile Company on · 0 views

Kesaria Textile Company — Question ·

I am on the Pabbly Connect unlimited tasks (yearly) plan.

My setup: I run comment automation workflows across 65+ Facebook, YouTube and Instagram pages (webhook triggers + scheduled sweeper workflows with Claude AI integration).

My issue: Because of the volume, my task counter frequently reaches the 100,000 limit. When that happens, all my workflows stop until I manually reset the counter from the dashboard. Since my plan is unlimited tasks, this manual step only causes automation downtime — if the limit is hit at night, customer comments go unanswered for hours, which directly affects my business leads.

My questions:

  1. Can automatic task reset be enabled on my account, or the manual reset requirement removed?
  2. If not, is there any API endpoint or webhook through which I can reset the counter programmatically? (I can automate the reset myself if an endpoint exists.)
  3. If neither exists, is this feature on the roadmap?

Please let me know if you need my account details — I understand I should not post them publicly and will share via the private secure link.

Thank you!

Hello there,

Thank you so much for taking the time to explain your setup and the challenges you’re facing. We truly appreciate the effort you’ve put into building such extensive workflows with Pabbly Connect, and we completely understand how important uninterrupted automation is for your business. 🙏

I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the manual task reset requirement. While your plan does include unlimited tasks, our Fair Usage Policy requires an initial allocation of 100,000 tasks, after which tasks can be manually reset from your dashboard. This safeguard is deliberately in place to prevent potential system abuse or accidental infinite loops, and for that reason, automatic resets are not available and will not be added to the roadmap.

To answer your specific questions:

  • Automatic reset: Not possible, as the manual reset is a deliberate safeguard.

  • API/webhook reset: At present, there is no API endpoint or webhook available to reset the counter programmatically.

  • Roadmap: This feature will not be added, as the manual reset is intentionally required to protect system stability.

We truly regret the downtime this causes in your workflows and appreciate your patience and understanding. Please also note that the Unlimited Tasks feature is intended for one business only, and each separate business or client requires its own account. However, you are welcome to add unlimited team members under the same business account.

Further, you can create a workflow in your account to send yourself notifications once the limit crosses 80% of the task usage.

Thank you again for your trust and for raising this concern. We value your business and will continue striving to make Pabbly Connect more seamless for you.

Thanks & Regards,

Hi Adeel,

Thank you for the detailed clarification — I understand the Fair Usage Policy and the reasoning behind the manual reset safeguard.

I want to confirm one thing from my side regarding your note about "one business only": all my workflows and automations run exclusively for a single business — Kesaria Texco Private Limited (Kesaria Textile Company, Surat) and its own brand pages. The 65+ Facebook and Instagram pages I mentioned are all official pages of this same company — our wholesale pages, regional language pages, and our franchise store pages. There are no third-party clients or separate businesses on this account.

So my usage is fully within the one-business scope of the unlimited plan.

I have also set up the 80% usage notification workflow using the Task Usage Summary action — thank you for that suggestion.

However, I would still like to request a better solution here. Even with the alert, the manual reset means my automations WILL go down for some time whenever the limit is hit outside working hours (late night, weekends) — and my workflows reply to customer comments in real time, so every hour of downtime is lost business leads. Since my usage is genuine, single-business, and on an unlimited plan, may I request any of the following:
  1. An increased task allocation per reset cycle for my account (e.g., 300,000–500,000 instead of 100,000) — this alone would reduce resets from multiple times a month to almost never, while your abuse-prevention safeguard stays fully intact, OR
  2. Auto-reset enabled specifically for my verified account after a manual review of my usage, OR
  3. Any whitelisting process that exists for high-volume genuine users.
I'm happy to share full details of my workflows for verification if needed. I hope you can escalate this to your team, as I'm sure other genuine high-volume users face the same downtime issue.

Looking forward to a workable solution.

Hello Abhinav,

You can submit a request to increase the initial task allocation for the Unlimited plan on our dedicated platform. Our product team will review your request and implement the feature if possible:
https://roadmap.pabbly.com/b/Feature-Request

In the meantime, you can set up a new workflow with Pabbly Connect Manager as the trigger step. It will trigger when a specified task consumption limit is reached, which you can set to 50%.

Next, add Gmail as Step 2 and configure it to send an email to [email protected] requesting a task reset.

This workflow will automatically trigger once 50% of your tasks have been consumed. An email will then be sent to [email protected], and upon receiving it, we will reset your tasks on your behalf.

Hi Arshil,
Thank you so much — this is exactly the kind of solution I was looking for!
I will do both:
  1. Submit a feature request for increased initial task allocation on the roadmap platform, and
  2. Set up the automated workflow with Pabbly Connect Manager as the trigger and Gmail sending a reset request to [email hidden].
One quick confirmation: when the automated email reaches [email hidden] requesting the task reset, will the reset be processed automatically/promptly even outside business hours (nights/weekends)? My automations run 24x7, so I want to understand the expected turnaround time for the reset after the email is received.
Thank you for the helpful guidance!

Hello there,

We regret to inform you that there is a little misinformation provided in the previous email; the workflow that is suggested is to notify yourself and not the Support team. Support Team won't reset the tasks as we already provided the option to reset the tasks in users account. Its users responsibility to manage the account on their own. If support fails to reset the task somehow, as we receive a lot of tickets daily, it won't be Support's responsibility if you still add the support email in the particular workflow. Kindly create a workflow to notify yourself only.

Thanks & Regards,
