Create File in Specific Folder - 404 File Not Found

HelpMeLearn — Question ·

I'm trying to create a spreadsheet within a folder that I've searched up using Search Folder function. Search Folder returned both parent file & files ID. However, when I map either of the files' values into Create a File in a Specific Folder - it returned me 404 File Not Found.

I can confirm that the folder exists, and that the ID returned from Search Folder's step is correct.

The specific workflow is in the route Party & Available (For Pabbly Troubleshooting).

Hello @HelpMeLearn
It seems there may be an issue with the specific folder. The workflow is functioning correctly in automation, so we request you to please test it once. If possible, try creating a file in the same folder through the automation to check if it triggers successfully.

Good day.

I'm revisiting this issue & still couldn't get it to work. Could you help me understand what you meant by creating a file in the same folder?

Hello @HelpMeLearn,

Thank you for reaching out to us again.

We request you to please perform the action once more and check how it goes. However, upon reviewing the screenshot you previously shared, it appears that the folder where you're trying to create the file is a shared folder.

In this case, instead of using the "Create a File in a Specific Folder" action, we recommend trying the "Move a File into Shared Drive" action and checking if that works for your use case.

Please give this a try and let us know how it goes—we’ll be happy to assist you further if needed.
