Deleting old Pabbly Webhooks in Squarespace

slp madness — Question ·

I am unable to set up a new Squarespace to Flodesk workflow because when I hit the save and send button to capture a test purchase I am getting an immediate response and it is saying that my website has reached its maximum amount of webhooks. When I go to Squarspace's settings under Developer API keys and External API keys, I see nothing associated with Pabby. My external API keys are for Google and Amazon and my developer API key has a contact form. That is all I can locate. Nothing to do with Pabby but no idea how to remove old connections. I deleted all old workflows that were in Pabby trash and that has not helped either. Thanks for the help!

Hi @slp madness,

Squarespace has a limit on the number of active webhooks that can be created for a website. Even if old workflows are deleted from Pabbly Connect, the webhook subscriptions created earlier inside Squarespace may still remain active in the backend.

Since you are not seeing anything under Developer API Keys or External API Keys, the old webhook connections are likely hidden under Squarespace Commerce/Webhook subscriptions and cannot always be managed directly from the dashboard UI.

Please try the following steps:

  1. Go to your Squarespace Dashboard.
  2. Navigate to:
Settings → Developer Tools → Connected Services / API Settings (depending on your Squarespace version).
  3. Check if there is any Webhook Subscription or Commerce API connection section available.
  4. Remove any unused webhook subscriptions if visible.

If you still cannot locate them, then this usually requires Squarespace Support to manually clear the old webhook registrations from your site.

You can contact Squarespace support here:
https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/p/contact

While contacting them, mention something like:

My website is showing that it has reached the maximum number of webhooks when trying to connect a new automation platform. I already deleted old automations and API connections but the webhook limit still remains. Could you please remove old/inactive webhook subscriptions associated with my website?

Once Squarespace clears the unused webhooks, you should be able to reconnect the Squarespace trigger in Pabbly Connect successfully
