Dropbox New File (Instant) Trigger Not Firing

Suzanne Henricksen — Question ·

I've had a workflow set up for a couple of months now with the Dropbox New File (Instant) trigger. It's been working just fine but all of a sudden it hasn't run since May 18th despite uploading 10 new files over the course of the last 11 days. When I look at the task history it shows success on the last run on May 18th, but no further runs or even runs with errors. I've reviewed that the connection is still live and "in use" and even updated the connection to Dropbox, but it's still not working when I upload a new file.

Any thoughts from others who have experienced this or the Pabbly team? It's really messing up one of my processes for work so I need to find a resolution!

Hey @SuzH,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We checked the workflow and noticed that the trigger is currently waiting for a response. Due to this, the workflow is not capturing any new files from Dropbox.

As a troubleshooting step, please follow the steps below:

  1. Open the workflow.
  2. Open the Dropbox New File (Instant) trigger step.
  3. Allow the 2-minute response-not-received popup to come.
  4. Click on Recapture Response.
  5. Upload a new file to the monitored Dropbox folder and check whether the response gets captured.

If the response is captured successfully, please test the workflow again.

However, if the trigger still does not capture the new file after performing the above steps, the remaining option would be to create a new workflow and configure the Dropbox trigger again, as the webhook subscription may no longer be functioning correctly.

Please let us know the outcome after testing, and we'll be happy to assist further.
