Dynamic Action Field Generation from Metadata Endpoint (Custom App)

Hello Team,

We have implemented a metadata endpoint in Mokapen CRM, and it is successfully returning all field definitions, including custom fields.

We would like to know if there is any supported schema format for Custom Apps that automatically generates Action mapping fields from the metadata response, similar to HubSpot's Properties API integration.

Our goal is to have both standard fields and custom fields loaded dynamically in the Action Setup without manually creating fields in Pabbly.

Could you please clarify:

  1. Is there a specific metadata response format required for automatic Action field generation?
  2. Can custom fields be automatically loaded from a metadata endpoint in a Custom App?
  3. How does HubSpot achieve dynamic field generation in Pabbly?
  4. Is there any documentation or example available for implementing this functionality?

Our metadata endpoint is already returning all field definitions successfully, but the fields are not being generated automatically in the Action Setup.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Best Regards,
Sam

Hello Team,

I am working on a custom app integration for Mokapen CRM and need some clarification regarding dynamic field generation in Action Setup.

We have already implemented a metadata endpoint that successfully returns all entity fields, including custom fields. However, the fields are not being generated automatically in the Action Setup.

We noticed that integrations such as HubSpot automatically display both standard and custom fields dynamically. We would like to implement similar functionality in our custom app.

Current Setup

  • Metadata endpoint is working correctly.
  • Standard and custom field definitions are returned successfully.
  • OAuth connection is working.
  • Actions are configured and working correctly.

Requirement

We want Pabbly to automatically generate Action mapping fields based on the metadata response so that:

  • Standard fields are displayed automatically.
  • Custom fields are displayed automatically.
  • Newly created custom fields become available without manual configuration.
  • Users can map fields dynamically in workflows.

Questions

  1. Is there any supported schema format for Custom Apps that enables automatic Action field generation from a metadata endpoint?
  2. Does Pabbly support dynamic field generation for custom apps similar to HubSpot's Properties API integration?
  3. Is there any specific response structure required for metadata endpoints?
  4. Can custom fields be loaded dynamically in Action Setup?
  5. Are there any examples or documentation available for implementing this functionality?
  6. If automatic generation is not supported, what is the recommended approach for handling dynamic custom fields in a Custom App?

Our goal is to provide the same user experience as HubSpot, where both standard and custom fields are available dynamically during Action mapping.

Any guidance from the Integration Team would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Best Regards,

sam

We would like to understand whether there is a supported way for Custom Apps to automatically generate Action mapping fields from the metadata response, similar to HubSpot.

Our metadata response already contains all standard and custom field information, and Pabbly is receiving it successfully. However, the custom fields are not being generated automatically in the Action Setup.

Could you please guide us on the recommended approach for enabling automatic custom field generation and dynamic mapping?

Thank you for your assistance.
