I saw it, but it adds an image within the article and not as the featured image.

it's no good... I want to automatically import an image... that I've created... I'm not a merchant site... it's a shame not to be able to import an image - that's the most important part of creating an article.

While creating a WordPress blog post only a media ID can added as a featured image, refer to the below screenshot.
