Gmail send email (v2) sends email also to the sender

For some reason the Gmail send email (v2) step not only sends the email to the intended recipient, but also to the sender. I checked all settings in the step fields and there is no good reason why also the sender account should receive their own email they're sending to the recipient. Is as if the sender was added to BCC or CC. Any help with this? Thanks
