Google Sheet cannot map row data

I do not understand how the Google Sheet connection works... you'd think it would be straightforward, connect to the sheet, and then you can pull the row data.
However, after connecting the sheet cannot pull any of the row data just the information about the sheet.
How can I map the information from the row?
