Marketing King — Question ·
I am trying to connect the Shopify inventory quantity with Google Sheets to make them synchronous but it showed that [API] Invalid API key or access token (unrecognized login or wrong password). I have already tested that the connection between Pabbly Connect and Google Sheets is successful. The only problem that the API of Shopify was directly copied from the developed app in Shopify but Pabbly cannot connect to it.

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We have attached a tutorial that will help you understand the connection process for both Shopify and Google Sheets. Kindly ensure that you have followed the same connection method shown in the tutorial while connecting both applications.

If not, please follow the video, reconnect the applications as demonstrated, and then perform a test to see if the issue is resolved.

If the issue still persists, could you please share:

  • A screen recording of the complete connection process, and

  • The workflow URL where you are encountering this issue

This will help us better understand the problem and assist you more effectively in resolving it.

We look forward to your response.

Hi there,

Thank you for providing the task history ID and the screen recording.

I checked the backend log for your task (IjU3NjYwNTZjMDYzNDA0MzI1MjY4NTUzMzUxMzY1MTYyNTQzNTBmMzAi_pc), and the Shopify V2 (Update Product) step is failing with a 401 Unauthorized error from Shopify: "[API] Invalid API key or access token (unrecognized login or wrong password)"

This means Shopify is actively rejecting the credentials you've entered. To fix this, please double-check your custom Shopify App settings:

  1. Verify the Token Type: Ensure that you are copying the Admin API Access Token (which begins with shpat_) rather than the API Secret Key or Client ID.

  2. Check API Scopes: In your Shopify store under Settings > Apps and sales channels > Develop Apps, open your app configuration and go to Configuration > Admin API integration.

  3. Reconnect: Go back to your Pabbly Connect workflow step, click on Connected, select Add New Connection, paste the correct Admin API Access Token, and save.

Once updated, try re-executing the failed task, and it should process smoothly! Let us know if you run into any further trouble.
