How do i setup multiple variants within my payhip/printful workflow using filters or routers? do i have to test-buy each variant to retrieve the info?

it seems rather tedious and costly to have to buy each variant just to retrieve the information.. what is the standard practice?

Yes, you can add a Router to your workflow and enter a different variant name in the Filter step of each route to achieve this use case.
