If new order in Shopify is a course then trigger action

NicoleSDC — Question ·

Hi! I have a Shopify shop in which I sell digital and physical products. And I was interested in creating new students in Thrivecart Learn, and followed all of the steps from the tutorial on YouTube, which was very helpful btw, but I have a problem. That workflow is for a Shopify shop that only sells courses, and not all of my orders are for courses, so my workflow gets triggered even when it doesn’t have to, and I would like to set a filter BEFORE the “when this happens” -> “take this action”. I would like to do this: IF “Shopify order is (courses names)” THEN “take this action”. How can I make this possible? Because I don’t like my workflows being triggered and costing me “tasks”, there’s has to be a way to fix this but I can’t seem to do it alone, please help me. I haven’t bought the offer because I have to get this to work for me first. Thank you in advance!!

Hello @NicoleSDC,

You can set up the filter as per the attached image.

I tried this already but I need it to be before the Shopify new order, I also have the lookup step before the thrive cart step.

So I have Shopify - lookup - thrive cart. Where would I need to add that filter? Thanks!

Hello @NicoleSDC,

You can place the filter between the Shopify trigger and the Lookup step. This way, only the orders that meet the filter condition will move forward to the Lookup and subsequent ThriveCart step.
