Incomplete HeyGen avatar list
Status: Open · Asked by Laurent BRIERE on · 0 views
Hi. I just noticed that this list of avatars is incomplete, both for those present in HeyGen's library (UGC, AI-generated or Community), but also in my own library. Is there a reason for this?
Hi @betrained,
Could you please share the Avatar IDs that you would like to see added to the list? Also, please share the Workflow URL where you're experiencing this issue.

I don't want a specific avatar. I want to be able to access one of them whenever I want. Do you have a problem offering the full list? I think I'm not the only one who will need this. The subscription I have with HeyGen (TEAM) allows me to have as many avatars as I want. Some of them are part of my clients' avatars.

Those avatars are not in the list
Please allow us some time to look into this concern. We will get back to you with an update soon.
Hello @betrained,
The action appears to be functioning correctly. However, to further verify, you can try executing the endpoint using a Custom API Request or through Postman.
This will help confirm that the endpoint is working as expected.
If the required avatars still aren’t listed, we recommend reaching out to the Heygen team for more information, as they would be better positioned to assist with specific avatar availability.
curl --request GET \
--url https://api.heygen.com/v2/avatars \
--header 'accept: application/json' \
--header 'x-api-key: '

Sorry, your answer and what you're asking me to do are too technical for me. I thought Pabbly was like its direct competitors in no-code automation systems.
I'm a little disappointed by my initial tests of your application. It gives me the impression that some of your modules are still under development. I wanted to produce an online training course on Pabbly soon... I'm increasingly hesitant to do so given my experience with it and the results obtained.
Hello @betrained,
Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we truly regret to hear about your initial experience.
Just to clarify, the previous tests we suggested were only intended to help verify the functionality of the avatar availability using other platforms, as the API endpoint itself appears to be functioning as expected on our end.
That said, if certain avatars are still not appearing, we recommend reaching out directly to the Heygen team for more clarity, as this seems to be related to their system rather than an issue with the integration.

Here is the HeyGen's answer :
You can retrieve all video avatars from this endpoint:
To access all avatar groups (including photo avatars, etc.), please refer to:
At the moment, UGC avatars are not returned via the API. However, you can still use them by copying the avatar ID directly from the web interface and entering it manually.
What can I do with that ?
Apparently your module would only retrieve my video avatars but not my "photo" avatars. How can I manage this? Knowing that once the photos are added to create my Heygen avatar, I ask Heygen for a 10-second animation of these photos.
Hello @betrained,
We’re pleased to inform you that our team has developed a new action titled “Create an Avatar Video with Talking Photo” to fulfill your requirements.
Kindly test it on your end and let us know how it works for you.

Great. How responsive!! Amazing. Thanks a lot. I know it's not your fault, but what a shame that we only have the choice of "circle" or "square," knowing that if the character moves, we risk cutting a part.

talking_photo_style ==> "Talking Photo crop style. Supported values are: square, circle."
Hello @betrained,
You're absolutely right. Unfortunately, this limitation comes from HeyGen’s end, and we currently don't have control over it.
We recommend reaching out to the HeyGen support team directly to request any changes or enhancements regarding this feature.
