Issue w/ Shopify + Wishlist Member

Dr. Steph β€” Question Β·

Hi there!

Having another issue with my workflow.

https://connect.pabbly.com/v2/app/workflow/share/CUFUZgRTBmVSGAVvBFdXcAgcAAQHXVRtAxoEFlFeB39aFFU-URAJYwBMUHJUD1MyAElVPw5SUG1dSVVRVAJUJ1ZMU39WVVIoAUwDeAdkWGsJV1R8BGU#

The last real customer that the workflow didn't fire for was for the following task history.

IjU3NjYwNTZjMDYzMjA0MzY1MjZkNTUzMDUxMzI1MTZhNTQzNTBmMzMi_pc

I also did the recommended steps from last time which worked before (updating the APIs) but it didn't appear to work this time.

Seems the Member ID may be messed up, but not sure?

Anyways this is the details of the last customer who is not getting added to Wishlist member.

Order for:
The Built To Heal Virtual Clinic Membership

Thank you!

Hello Steph,

We took a close look at your shared workflow and the failed task history ID you provided, and we found exactly why the integration is hitting a partial failure!

In your Step 4 (Wishlist Member: Add Member to Level), the Member ID field is currently mapped to the "User Id" variable from Step 1 (Shopify). Since Shopify doesn't pass a Wishlist Member ID, this field is coming through completely empty, causing the action step to fail.

How to fix it:

  1. Open your Shopify + Wishlist Member workflow.

  2. Scroll down to Step 4 (Wishlist Member: Add Member to Level).

  3. Delete the current mapping inside the Member ID field.

  4. Click into that field, open the dropdown for Step 3 (Wishlist Member: Create Member), and select/map the User ID generated from that creation step.

Once you update this mapping to pull dynamically from Step 3 instead of Step 1, your workflow will properly add new members to their membership levels going forward!

Thanks a lot for the quick response!

I tried to do what you said but I don't' see a clean "User ID" - I see a "Member 0 Id"

Is this what I should choose?

I did and it's still not working on my test so I assume that's not the one?

Thanks!
Steph

Hello Steph,

Yes, you are exactly on the right track! "Member 0 Id" is the correct unique identifier generated by Wishlist Member in Step 3 that needs to be mapped into Step 4.

The reason your test might still be showing as failed is likely because it is using the old cached data from the previous run.

To make sure everything goes through perfectly, please try the following:

  1. Ensure "Member 0 Id" from Step 3 is mapped into the Member ID field of Step 4.

  2. Save the changes.

  3. Go back to your Shopify trigger (Step 1) or your Task History and fetch/submit a completely fresh test payment/customer to run through the workflow.

Once a new action is processed with this mapping in place, it will successfully link the new member to their membership level!

Hi Hrishabh,

I'm sorry I'm not able to get it to work so I'md definitely messing it up.

The tab is marked as "mapped" in the Member ID.

I don't know how to submit a fresh test other than at the bottom of the steps it says "save and send new test" which I always do and nothing happens.

Thanks again

Steph

Hello Steph,

Don't worry, you haven't messed anything up at all! You actually mapped it perfectly.

The reason clicking "Save & Send Test Request" inside Step 4 didn't do anything is because it was trying to process old, empty data from your very first setup attempts.

I just went ahead and manually re-executed your last real customer's transaction from your Task History using your updated mapping, and it went through completely Successfully! The system was able to read the "Member 0 Id" and process it without any errors.

What to do next:

Your workflow is now fully fixed and ready to go. To see it work live from start to finish:

  1. Make sure your workflow toggle is turned ON (at the top right of your Pabbly Connect screen).

  2. Go to your Shopify store and place a completely fresh test order (or test payment).

Once you place that new order, you will see it flow into Pabbly Connect and add the member to their membership level instantly!

Thanks a lot for that.

I'm still having some issue not sure why.

The order is going thru with my test email [email hidden]

Pabbly is saying it was successful in the task history.

I'm getting the order email - but I'm not being added to the Wishlist Member and thus not getting the login email.

I've tried it so many times, not sure what's going on!

Hello Steph,

We found the exact reason why the workflow stopped at the filter step!

In your Step 2 (Filter), the filter is set up to only allow the workflow to continue if the Shopify product title matches "The Built to Heal Clinic Membership" or "The Built to Heal Virtual Clinic Membership" exactly.

However, looking at your actual Shopify data, the exact name of the product being purchased is Built to Heal Virtual Membership. Because the names don't match perfectly, the filter is intentionally stopping the workflow.

How to fix it:

  1. Open your workflow and go to Step 2 (Filter).

  2. Look at the value you have typed into the right-hand side text field.

  3. Change it to match your actual Shopify product name exactly: Built to Heal Virtual Membership (make sure there are no extra spaces at the beginning or end).

  4. Click Save and Send Test Request on the filter step to ensure it says "Success: Status is True".

Once you update this text to match your live Shopify product name, the filter will let the data pass through smoothly, and the members will be added automatically!
