Issue with TidyCal and SMTP (not mapping all data)
Status: Open · Asked by Manar Hasan on · 0 views
Hi everyone, amateur automator. I'm a small business owner that uses TidyCal to manage appointments with customers. I am trying to do something seemingly simple, but can't figure it out. I want to send an email to my internal team when a new booking occurs. I set up New Booking (TidyCal) as the trigger, and the Action is SMTP (Pabbly). In my email body, I want to include the booking time. However, the time options I'm looking for don't show up in the mapped data options.
Within TidyCal's platform, there are ways to add dynamic content, showing a screenshot below. As you can see, this has the option of booking.date, booking.time, and booking.timezone.

I was hoping to see those as options within Pabbly. However, the only Pabbly mapped optons I see relating to time are res1 starts_at and res1 ends_at, but those are in a not user-friendly UTC format, e.g. 2026-01-31T16:00:00.000000Z. So it's hard for me to directly use that in my emails with customers.
Hi @manar@bi,
We have added two Date/Time Formatter steps to your workflow, which will help you change the date format. You can map the formatted date to your emails.
Currently, it is set to convert the date to the DD/MM/YYYY hh:mm A format. You can change it to whichever format you want.

Hi Arshil, thanks for helping with that (and sorry for the late response). I have another issue with the same flow.
So I have set a general automation workflow of "get new booking" -> format date/time -> add to google sheets -> email (with some more steps in the middle). This works completely fine when I am doing a test submission (Save & Send Test Request in the trigger shows the recent booking, so I am sure that TidyCal and Pabbly are connected). However, when I put in an actual booking, nothing happens. I understand it's a 10min polling-type connection, but even after waiting an hour, I don't see any records. I have checked to make sure the workflow is enabled, so I don't think that's the issue. The Task History does not show anything, so it looks like nothing is being triggered.
Can you help? Please let me know if I can provide any more information. The workflow URL is the same as the one shared before.
Hi @manar@bi,
I checked your workflow, and it appears that the latest response was received 55 minutes ago. Could you please confirm if there has been any new bookings in TidyCal after that?
Once we have this information, we will be able to assist you further.
