SheaOliver — Question ·

Hello,

My connection to MS Excel has begun returning an invalidOperation error. https://share.zight.com/OAue7OWe

I have several workflows using MS Excel, and have not had this issue before. I reconnected MS Excel, and the error continued.

Help!

Cheers!
Shea

Mine is doing the same thing!

Microsoft Excel connector is no longer returning table column metadata.
File and worksheet are detected, but column list is empty after reconnecting.
Previously working workflow now fails with:
400 InvalidOperation – This operation is not permitted for the current object
No spreadsheet or workflow changes were made.

Hello @SheaOliver,

Thanks for reaching out and sharing the details.

The MS Excel invalidOperation error you faced seems to be a temporary issue. We cloned your existing Excel step and executed it by clicking the Save & Send Test Request button, and it worked fine on our end.

Additionally, the failed task history also got completed successfully after re-execution.
Task History ID: IjU3NjUwNTY1MDYzMDA0MzQ1MjZlNTUzMDUxMzU1MTZhNTQzNDBmMzYi_pc

Please note: Since the task was re-executed, you will see two rows added in your Excel sheet (as the same data got pushed again during re-execution).

Let us know if you face the issue again, and we will assist you further.
