Request for one-time task credit – bot/spam executions on a single workflow

Freddy Irausquin — Question ·
Hello Pabbly Support team,

Account: [email hidden] (Freddy Irausquin). We are a long-term paying customer with 2 active Pabbly Connect subscriptions and 1000+ active production workflows.

We are reporting an issue and respectfully requesting your help.

One of our workflows — "IMPACTIFI Contact Us" — received a flood of automated bot/spam submissions through its public contact form. As a result, this single workflow consumed approximately 18,635 tasks (plus 3,734 free tasks) in a very short period. These were NOT legitimate executions; they were generated by bots/spam hitting the form, as the execution history clearly shows (repeated submissions, identical/garbage data, bursts within minutes).

This abnormal consumption exhausted our account's task balance and, as a consequence, all of our other legitimate production workflows have stopped. We have already disabled the affected "IMPACTIFI Contact Us" workflow to prevent any further consumption.

We kindly ask you to:
1. Review the execution log of this workflow, which clearly evidences the automated/spam pattern.
2. Grant a one-time goodwill credit/restoration of the tasks consumed by this spam, so our legitimate workflows can resume.

We are happy to provide screenshots of the execution logs, timestamps, and the task consumption report. We've been on Pabbly for years and intend to keep growing here — we'd greatly appreciate your support in resolving this fairly.

Thank you in advance,
Freddy Irausquin

Hello Freddy,

Thank you for reaching out and for providing the detailed explanation.

We reviewed your request and understand that the unusually high task consumption was caused by automated bot/spam submissions to your public contact form. We also appreciate that you acted promptly by disabling the affected workflow to prevent any further task usage.

As a one-time exception and goodwill gesture, we have reset the tasks consumed due to this incident, and the restored tasks should now be available in your account.

Going forward, we recommend implementing spam protection on your public forms (such as CAPTCHA or other bot-prevention measures) to help avoid similar situations in the future, as we may not be able to provide task restorations for recurring incidents.

We truly appreciate your continued trust in Pabbly over the years and thank you for being a valued customer. If you need any further assistance, please let us know—we'll be happy to help.

Thanks & Regards,

Hi Arshil,

Thank you so much for your prompt reply and, above all, for your team's willingness to review our case so carefully. I can confirm that the restored tasks are now showing in our account and that our production workflows are back up and running normally.

We truly appreciate this gesture of goodwill. We fully understand that this is a one-time exception, and we want you to know how much we value the trust and flexibility you've shown us.

We're taking your recommendation seriously: we're already implementing spam protection on our public forms (CAPTCHA and additional bot-prevention measures, along with validation filters inside the workflow itself) to make sure a situation like this doesn't happen again.

Thank you again, Arshil, for your excellent support and the personal care you've shown. This is exactly the kind of service that keeps us confident in Pabbly and committed to growing further on the platform. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you ever need anything from our side.

Warm regards,

Freddy Irausquin
