Hi Pabbly Team!

I am trying to automate adding people to a specific private Slack channel but the "JOIN CHANNEL" action is not working? I am having this error: method_not_supported_for_channel_type (see image below).

I also tried to use the "INVITE USERS TO CHANNEL" action but could not properly map the user because I needed to choose from the existing/dropdown list. My trigger is a webhook that catches information to our form in GHL and should automatically add that contact to a private Slack channel.

Hey @JRF

You can use "Search User by Email" for getting the user details and then you can use "Invite Users to Channel"

Please try it out and let us know if it works for you.

Hello @JRF

It seems you are trying to join a private channel, this could be the reason you are getting the error "method not supported for channel type". Please note that the error is being sent by Slack's end, consider contacting them to learn more about the issue - https://api.slack.com/methods/conversations.join
