Something triggered my account and consumed most of my tasks

My workflow uses a Webhook trigger that catches "Job Modified" events from JobNimbus and, after a few filter/lookup steps, sends a PUT request back to JobNimbus to correct a job's location and number.
Today I saw a sudden spike — thousands of executions in a short window, consuming most of our available tasks. Around the same time, JobNimbus support confirmed they were experiencing a platform-wide outage on their end.
We've since paused both the JobNimbus-side automation and this Pabbly workflow. We'd like help understanding:
- Why this happened
- If this is something I cannot control, can we get our tasks back?
Hello Paulo,
Thanks for contacting us.
As you already mentioned, the trigger of the workflow is a webhook; in this case, we only catch the data sent from the source application. So the workflow will execute every time it receives data from the source application. As you confirmed with the Jobnimbus Team, they are experiencing issues, so the sudden spike in the execution is from their end, which consumed most of your tasks.
As a courtesy, we reset 20,000 tasks for your account, so now you have 40,000 tasks remaining in your account. Make sure to activate the workflow only when the JobNimbus Team confirms that the issue is resolved from their end, else the tasks will again get consumed.
Thanks & Regards,
Adeel Akhtar
