Unable to add "API by Pabbly" action step inside a Router route

Vandana Sharma — Question ·
Hi Team,

In my workflow "product image matcher", I am trying to add an "API by Pabbly" action step inside a Router route (after a Filter step). The app appears in the list, but when I click on "API by Pabbly" to select it, nothing happens — the step does not get added and I cannot proceed.

What I have already tried:
- Hard refresh (Ctrl+Shift+R)
- Different browser and incognito mode
- Logged out and back in

My task balance is fine (11,917 tasks remaining), so it is not a limit issue. The previous step (Filter) is saved.

Please help resolve this so I can continue building the workflow. scrren recording attched.

Hello Vandana,

Thank you for sharing the screen recording and the workflow details.

We checked the workflow on our end and were able to add the API by Pabbly action step inside the router route without any issues.

However, we currently see only one route properly saved in the router. The Filter step in the second route does not appear to be saved, which makes it difficult for us to test the exact scenario you're encountering.

Could you please save the filter in the second route and let us know if the issue persists? This will help us replicate the same setup and investigate further on our end.

Additionally, although you've already tried using an Incognito window and a different browser, we recommend clearing the browser cache on your primary browser and then testing again. Sometimes cached files can cause unexpected UI behavior.

Please let us know the results, and we'll be happy to investigate further if needed.

Hi Team,

Thank you for checking.

I tried the steps you suggested, but the issue is still there. A few important points:

1. I cleared my browser cache on my primary browser and tested again — the problem persists.

2. More importantly: this is not limited to the "product image matcher" workflow. I created a brand-new workflow from scratch, and I am unable to connect/add any node there either. When I click on an action app to select it, nothing happens and the step does not get added. So it does not seem to be caused by one specific workflow or an unsaved filter.

3. Regarding the unsaved Filter in the second route — I could not save it because of this same problem: the step does not respond when I try to add or save it.

I have already tried: hard refresh (Ctrl+Shift+R), incognito mode, a different browser, logging out and back in, and clearing cache.

Since this happens even on a fresh workflow, could you please check if there is an account-level or backend issue?

Screen recording attached.

Hello Vandana,

Thank you for getting back to us and for sharing the additional details and screen recording.

We checked your account again and were able to successfully add the API by Pabbly action step in the workflow from our end, which suggests that the workflow configuration itself is working correctly.

Since you've mentioned that the issue occurs with all action apps, even in newly created workflows, this does not appear to be related to a specific workflow or router configuration. Based on the behavior shown in the recording, it seems possible that a browser extension, VPN, ad blocker, security plugin, or similar browser-level customization may be interfering with the Pabbly Connect interface.

Could you please check whether any new browser extensions, VPNs, ad blockers, or security-related plugins have been installed recently? If so, kindly try temporarily disabling them and then test again. If possible, you may also try using a clean browser profile with no extensions enabled.

For reference, we were able to add the action successfully from our end:

Please let us know the results after testing, and we'll continue investigating if the issue persists.
