Urgent: Meta Instant Forms Integration Triggering Duplicate Leads from Defunct/Old Form
Status: Open · Asked by Ammar Azmi on · 0 views
I am experiencing an issue with my Meta Lead Ads to [Insert your CRM/Google Sheets/Destination] workflow.
The Setup:
- Yesterday, I created two brand-new Instant Forms in Meta Ads Manager for a new ad campaign.
- I connected the workflow to trigger based on new leads coming in.
The Problem:
- Today, I am continuously receiving duplicate leads.
- Upon auditing the data, these duplicates are being pulled and triggered from my old, defunct Instant Form instead of exclusively routing data from the two new forms I set up yesterday.
- The old form should not be sending new data through this specific automation layout.
Hello @Ammar Azmi,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
Upon checking the workflow URL you shared, we can see that the workflow has not executed so far with the configuration available to us. To investigate this issue further, could you please share the URLs of both workflows mentioned in your query, including the one that is receiving the duplicate leads?
Additionally, if possible, please share the details of the duplicate lead entries and the Meta Instant Forms involved.
This information will help us better understand the setup, identify the root cause of the issue, and assist you accordingly.
We look forward to your response.

New Workflow made recently receiving duplicate leads
Old Workflow
Hello @Ammar Azmi,
Thank you for sharing the workflow details.
We have checked the task history of the new workflow, and it does not appear that the workflow itself is triggering twice or adding the same lead multiple times.
Since all of your Facebook Lead Ads workflows appear to be adding data to the same Google Sheet, it is possible that another workflow configured to capture leads from Facebook forms is also writing data to that sheet.
Could you please check whether there are any other Facebook Lead Ads workflows in your account that are connected to the same Google Sheet?
As of now, everything appears to be functioning normally from our end. To investigate further, could you please provide:
- The details of a lead that was added twice (Lead ID, email address, phone number, etc.).
- The approximate timestamp when the duplicate entries were added.
- A screenshot or screen recording demonstrating the duplicate entries in the Google Sheet.
With the lead details, we can cross-check the task history and determine exactly which workflow(s) processed the lead.
If you'd prefer, we can also connect over a Google Meet to review the setup together and resolve the issue more quickly.
We look forward to your response.
Sure, we can connect on google meet now and about the lead information you've asked sorry but we cannot provide this data as it affect their privacy, thank you, let me know when we can connect on meet.
